Heat pumps or resistance heaters can easily be connected to the Sympower platform. Ovens, boilers, space heaters, drying facilities, smelting processes, combined heat and power plants, district heating networks and so on can all temporarily be turned up or down without affecting operations. When there is a shortage of electricity on the grid, the heating temporarily gets turned down or off, while staying within the predetermined acceptable limits. When there is too much electricity on the grid, or the electricity price is low, more heat can be produced. Later this pre-heating will be corrected by turning the heating down.
